Life Sciences PA is pleased to announce the premiere of Tell Me About Your Job. This new program, as part of our Diversity & Inclusion Initiative, will kick off this Wednesday, October 21 at 6:00 pm featuring:

Dr. George (Trey) Thorne, Director of Product Development at Fujirebio Diagnostics Inc.

What is Tell Me About Your Job? This 30-minute, live online program is geared toward students. It will be held bi-weekly and will feature underrepresented individuals who will highlight their career path, explain their roles and associated responsibilities, and answer questions to help audiences learn more about the opportunities within the life sciences industry.

This program is offered completely complimentary to students!

The first program of the series featuring Dr. Thorne will premiere October 21. Dr. Thorne will explain his role, his ongoing responsibilities, and what a typical day looks like for him and his team.  

Dr. Thorne has worked for 10 years at Fujirebio Diagnostics, a premier cancer diagnostics company and the industry leader in cancer biomarker assays. The company pioneered and introduced the first FDA-approved ovarian cancer biomarker over 25 years ago. Fujirebio Diagnostics specializes in the clinical development, manufacturing, and commercialization of in-vitro diagnostic products for the management of human disease states, with an emphasis in oncology.

Dr. Thorne earned a BS from Butler University and a PhD in Molecular and Celluar Physiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. 

At the conclusion of Dr. Thorne’s discussion, all attendees are encouraged to join in a Zoom networking session to foster connections with the students, speaker, moderator, and other industry professionals.
