Najah Ellison, Associate Director R&D Finance, Paratek Pharmaceuticals
What is Tell Me About Your Job? This 30-minute, live online program is geared toward students. It will be held bi-weekly and will feature underrepresented individuals who will highlight their career path, explain their roles and associated responsibilities, and answer questions to help audiences learn more about the opportunities within the life sciences industry.

Our next program of the series will feature Najah Ellison, Associate Director R&D Finance, Paratek Pharmaceuticals, on November 18. Najah will explain her role, her ongoing responsibilities, and what a typical day looks like for her.
Najah Ellison is a finance professional with sixteen years of progressive leadership and finance responsibilities across industries, predominantly pharmaceutical. She graduated from Temple University in 2004 with an undergraduate degree B.S Accounting. Later she received a Master of Science with concentration in Finance from Babson College in 2007. She became licensed as a certified public accountant in 2009. Earlier this year Najah completed a Master’s in Taxation from Villanova University.
Throughout her career Najah has primarily focused on identifying key business drivers and variance analytics, resource and process optimization, and strategic planning. She has worked with several Fortune 500 companies including ACE INA, Lucent Technologies, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and GE Water. Currently Najah is managing R&D Operations for Paratek Pharmaceuticals with responsibility over budgeting, forecasting, and operations. Her role encompasses various functions from Clinical Operations & Development, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance to Technical Operations (Chemical, Formulation, Process and Analytical Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Cost Accounting).
At the conclusion of Najah's discussion, all attendees are encouraged to join in a Zoom post event conversation to foster connections with the students, speaker, moderator, and other industry professionals.
