About Beau Wangtrakuldee:

Beau Wangtrakuldee is a PhD scientist-turned- entrepreneur whose mission is to make safety accessible for all without sacrificing the environment.   After a successful career in research and development, Beau experienced a chemical spill in the lab which resulted in her suffering minor burns due to the lack of protection from her lab coat.  It was because of this incident that she discovered the overall lack of size-inclusive safety products for women, so she teamed up with a group of female scientists and fashion designers to launch AmorSui as the cutting-edge destination for safety.

The company’s first collection featured more inclusive personal protective apparel that was antimicrobial, chemical-resistant, fire-resistant and properly sized for women.  It also included the first fire-resistant hijab.

Wangtrakuldee successfully grew AmorSui to serve over 1,000 global customers and leading R&D institutions such as Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Dupont, and Amgen.

Amidst the pandemic, AmorSui expanded its innovation to sustainability in healthcare by addressing broader gaps in personal protective equipment shortages and environmental impacts of disposable products.   AmorSui now offers integrated safety solutions including washable & recyclable products.  The company’s fully automated medical gown services are managed by a mobile application and software to help clinics and hospitals implement washable products and track their environmental impact progress.  This year, Wangtrakuldee has already aligned partnerships with Thermo Fisher Scientific, G2 Revolution, and medical laundry vendors which will increase AmorSui’s capacity in clinics and hospitals.

All items in the AmorSui collection are named after renowned female scientists and are manufactured in the U.S.A in women-owned/led factories in both Brooklyn, NY and Allentown, PA.

Beau has been featured in a variety of media outlets and was recently listed in Forbes “Female Founder to Watch in 2021.” Awards she has received include: 2020 Supply Chain and Logistics Enterprises Innovation Winner supported by the Walton Foundation; 2018 ‘Future Starts Now’ grant winner from Birchbox; 2016 Young Investigator Award; and 2013 American Chemical Society Leadership Award.  Beau was selected for the 2020 Project Entrepreneur by UBS and Female Founder Collective, and Techstars Boston.  She has authored 9 research publications and served as a keynote speaker for Bloomberg Live and Google for Startups.
