Innovators Meet Legislators

Advocacy Days is an important tool to facilitate those discussions. It is an annual opportunity to show the breadth, strength, health, and importance of Pennsylvania’s life sciences community through meetings with the governor’s administration, legislators, other policy makers and their staffs.
Due to COVID-related restrictions we will conduct meetings over the course of two days through Zoom. Given the role of the life sciences community in researching and developing vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics for COVID-19 it is especially important that industry leaders provide updates to policymakers on your companies and your activity in the Commonwealth.
IMPORTANT: You do NOT need to be an expert in state government policy or advocacy! Your job during Advocacy Days is to tell your company’s story – the work you perform, the number of people you employ, the opportunities and hurdles you face, and how you are changing the lives of patients.
We will kick off Advocacy Days with a briefing designed to update attendees on the current state of affairs in Harrisburg as well as lay out the meeting schedule. We invite you to block 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29 for this briefing. Also, when registering, we ask that you provide us with your availability for meetings on April 29 and 30, and will we will come back to you as we approach the week with a meeting agenda that fits your schedule.
