Paul Kornblith, M.D., currently serves as the Medical Advisor to Helomics, the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, and the Innovation Institute; as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh; and as the Western Pennsylvania Director for Life Sciences PA.
A world-renown neurosurgeon, clinician, and clinical cancer researcher, Dr. Kornblith has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, 30 textbook chapters, and four textbooks. Dr. Kornblith also served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Hospital in New York; Chief of the Surgical Neurology Branch and Interim Clinical Director of the Neurological Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD; Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of the Cancer Program Project in the Department of Neurosurgery at Harvard University, and as an Attending Neurosurgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston; and Editor-and-Chief of the Journal of Neuro-Oncology.
Dr. Kornblith received his B.A. degree from Temple University and his M.D degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical School.
