The Medical Device Tax, created with the passage of the Affordable Care Act, was suspended for two years in 2016 and again for two years in 2018. However, the tax will go back into effect January 1, 2020, if it is not suspended or repealed by the end of the year. LSPA continues to advocate for a permanent repeal, but until then LSPA members need to know whether the tax applies to their company and how to comply with IRS regulations.
IMPORTANT: This tax affects companies of all sizes, even those that are not yet profitable!
