Michael Emery, Chief Financial Officer, Tyber Medical
Mr. Emery, Chief Financial Officer, Tyber Medical, has over 25 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Systems, Acquisition Integration, and Process Improvement. Before joining Tyber Medical, Mr. Emery served as Global Vice President of Finance & Accounting at Plasma Surgical. At Plasma Surgical he was responsible for all Finance, Accounting, Information Systems and Legal functions for multiple legal entities across the globe, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, and BVI. He has also served on the Boards of United Kingdom and French entities. Prior to Plasma Surgical, he was the Corporate Controller for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, a $1B revenue entity.
Jim Fendrick, President & CEO, Rockland Immunochemicals
Jim Fendrick, a 30-year veteran of the biotechnology industry, is President and CEO of Rockland Immunochemicals, Inc. and chairman of its Board of Directors.
A global biotechnology company focusing on life science research tools and contract research, Rockland is a leading expert in antibodies and partners with major government, academic and biopharma institutions throughout the world. Rockland also invests in biotechnology companies that address unmet medical needs.
Jim is an active board member for the Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing (JIB), the Montgomery County Development Corporation (MCDC), and a founding member of PHL Art & Life Science (PALS) Initiative. He has partnered professionally and personally with Life Sciences Pennsylvania (LSPA) and the Yellow Springs Art Show. A graduate of Gettysburg College, Jim and his wife, Maureen, reside in Chester County, PA.
Kelly Wylam, Director, Innovation Partnership
Ms. Wylam has over 25 years of experience with a variety of businesses and economic development programs in PA. In her current position with the BFTP Network, Ms. Wylam Directs the Innovation Partnership (IPart), PA’s premiere SBIR/ STTR statewide assistance program, providing clients with counseling and supports the IPart’s network of member organizations throughout the Commonwealth. She is seasoned in grant proposal preparation, funding acquisition and financial administration. In her previous capacity with DCED’s Office of Technology Investment, Ms. Wylam managed the Commonwealth’s Pennsylvania Initiative for Nanotechnology (PIN), provided oversight for the BFTDA’s University Grant Funding and Keystone Innovation Starter Kit (KISK) programs, and worked with technology-oriented businesses seeking funding. Ms. Wylam has also worked at DCED in the business financing area managing pooled bond financings, and small business lending and grant programs. She has a BS in PR/Communications from Millersville University and an MA in Government from Lehigh University.
